This is an event in Super Mario Maker where Mario or Yoshi accidentally get onto a ride-able shell at an undesired time. This usually occurs (and in its funniest form) with mistiming the jump onto a shell, Mario getting hit, causing Yoshi to jump off onto the shell and run in place as he rides away ditching Mario.
